For you to obtain the very best results it is good to follow some basic do's and dont's. This page lists the guidelines that really make a difference.
Treatment, where appropriate, includes assisted stretches so please wear loose clothing that allows you free movement. Yoga pants or light natural fiber garments that are roomy or stretch are best. Tight restrictive garments are unsuitable in as much as they hinder your natural movement not allowing full stretches and masking some areas of tightness giving me false signals of what is happening in your body. Please remove any jewellery, makeup or belts.
Ideally, avoid eating immediately prior to treatment. It is best to have little or no food in your stomach at the time of treatment so your last meal should be no closer than 1 1/2 hr to the actual treatment. It is also best to keep this meal light for easy digestion. In treatment we may need to do abdominal (hara) diagnosis and massage which would feel quite bad with a full tummy.
Keep well hydrated and stay away from stimulants such a coffee and black tea. They make you nervous and precipitate muscle contraction and fluid loss - not a good idea especially when we are highly likely to be stretching and releasing soon.
